Leather is one of the earliest notes in perfumery. This aroma molecule, isobutyl quinoline, has vibrant, intense leather character and is often used to impart a leather note in fragrance. It's very powerful and long lasting; when used in small amounts ( <2% ) it adds elegance, depth and character.
