Perfumer's Notes

Lavender is one of the oldest perfume ingredients. The name likely comes from the latin word "lavare" — to wash — in reference to its use as a bath oil dating back to the Roman Empire. A common ingredient in colognes and fougeres, lavender is also frequently used in aromatherapy, soaps and other functional perfumery.
